Uma Bharti to skip Ayodhya Bhoomi Pujan Ceremony
Nation Now TV August 03, 2020
BJP leader Uma Bharti who took the center stage during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in the early 90s has decided to skip the grand foundation laying ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
The reason for skipping the event she says is the Covid19 pandemic but many are seeing this as a way to convey he unhappiness over being sidelined in her own party. She will travel to Ayodhya from Bhopal but will be at another spot, away from the main ceremony.
The grand ceremony will be led by PM Narendra Modi on August 5, 2020 in Ayodhya and will be an all BJP event. The opposition leaders including Congress have expressed their unhappiness over not being invited for the ceremony and accused BJP of taking all the credit for the Ram Mandir.
