The flood situation in Assam has worsened after torrential rains for the past 4 days. Large parts of land in the state are under flood waters.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the affected areas and announced a compensation of 4 lakh rupees for the families of those who have lost their lives.
This is a recurring problem in Assam and people are fighting multiple battles including floods and Covid19, he added.
