Indigo airlines to lay off 3000 employees

The announcement was made today by Ronojoy Dutta, CEO, Indigo. Aviation industry has been one of the worst hit industries due to Covid19 outbreak around the world. This is the first massive lay off announced by an airline in India due to the pandemic. The lay off is about 10% of Indigo airlines total work force, which currently stands at 30,000.
